Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) The Victorian
Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) is an accredited senior secondary
qualification. VCAL is based on hands on learning. It is a good option for
students who do not want to go to university. VCAL will build on skills
that are important in life and work.
Students will study the follow subjects:
- Literacy
- Numeracy
- Work-Related Skills
- Personal Development
Students will also choose an accredited Vocational Education and training
(VET) module.
For more information on VET courses click here.
VCAL is more fitting for students that want to get an apprenticeship, traineeship,
go to TAFE or get a job after year 12.
VCAL is flexible, if a student decides they would like to complete VCE
instead, they are able to transfer between certificates. Any VCE subject
completed in VCAL will count towards VCE.
