On the last day of Term3, Year 9 students had a visit form Andrew Plant, an archaeologist who also writes and illustrates books. Andrew talked about his discoveries of fossils and types of dinosaurs. He showed us his drawings of dinosaurs that he drew for scientists as well as pictures of skeletons at museums. It was fascinating and very enjoyable.

After recess, many Year 9 students participated in a drawing class with Andrew. He taught us how to draw different dinosaurs and how yo use different effects to make it appear more realistic. Everyone has fun learning to draw, even the teachers joined in. At the end, the drawings turned out even better than what we had expected. Even people who could only draw stick figures could raw a decent looking dinosaur.
