Students get great tertiary offers
Ninety five percent of the Year 12 students who applied for a tertiary course at the Heatherhill Campus have been offered a University or TAFE course. Sixteen students have been offered University Degree courses and 23 students have been offered TAFE Diploma courses. All students are to be congratulated on the offers they
achieved.
A few of the students who received great offers into prestigious courses were:
· Reksmey Chheang-Banking and Finance, Monash University;
· Tony Le and Mary Tu - Pharmacy, Monash University;
· Sophary Mam-Secondary Teaching, Deakin University;
· Ly-Kung Ung and Hoa Wong – Property and Real Estate, Deakin University.
Other students were offered degree courses in Arts, Banking and Finance and Small Business and Entrepreneurship at Victoria University; Nursing and Consumer Science at RMIT University; Teaching-Science, Information Technology-Multimedia Technology and Science at Deakin University; and Information Technology and Systems at Monash University.
Other students will pursue a vast range of careers with Diploma Courses at TAFE in the areas of Electronics, Legal Practice, Hospitality Management, Administration, Marketing and Advertising, Accounting, Financial Services, Building and Construction, Information Technology, Engineering-Aerospace, Human Services, Animal Care and Management, Retail Management, Business, Science, Engineering- Mechanical and Computer Science.
In a world that needs skilled workers, the Year 12 students of 2008 have been offered great opportunities to continue their education. These students’ achievements provide a wonderful role model for all students at the Heatherhill Campus.
